For those cyclists who love to ride, and are looking for more reasons to ride than just for their themselves, there are charitable organizations out there who would be more than willing to give them a reason to ride with a purpose. There are many charitable organizations these days that often try to combine walking, running or cycling with a way to aid in their fund-raising efforts. When it comes to cycling, this concept of bringing the the ride and a charity together can be a huge motivator and can turn the experience into a more altruistic endeavor that is driven by the desire to help others and to support the charitable cause while simultaneously helping to draw attention and awareness to it.

Every year in Minnesota over 30, individuals contribute their time, effort, and skills to building or repairing hundreds of Habitat homes. More than 2, Habitat homes have been built in Minnesota. Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota is a statewide resource development and support organization that serves, advocates for, and advances the work of Minnesota's 28 Habitat for Humanity affiliates to build and renovate affordable housing in partnership with people in need.
